| This initiative, launched by the Department of Maintenance of the City, has a budget of 12,500 euros | The Department of Maintenance of the City of Las Torres de Cotillas has begun a plan to fix potholes in various streets of the urban center and districts of the municipality.
This will be divided into three phases, will add about 900 m2 and for which a budget of 12,500 euros will be allocated.
"The rains and the passage of time have created these irregularities in the pavement, which condition the safety of road traffic," says the first deputy mayor and councilor for the area, Marian Fernández Fernández, who recently visited the work areas. The roads included in this plan, whose first action has already been concluded, are: Gardenias, Condomina streets, access to San Pedro, San Pedro Ermita, Concepción Arenal, Ángel Palazón, Jacinto Benavente, Unamuno, Mexico, Ecuador, Baleares, Valencia, Calvillo, Almería, Coto-Parque and C del Polígono San Jorge: the roads of San Juan, next to the old treatment plant, Las Pedreras, Carrizalejo and next to Estación; and Avenida del Trabajo, Diputación and Reyes Católicos. These repairs are being carried out with hot bituminous mix with sprayed asphalt that includes cleaning the pothole, irrigation of adherence and / or primer, supply, spread and compaction with specific machinery made with sprayed gravel asphalt, air, emulsion and water.

"These are regular and necessary maintenance work on common use goods, which must be in perfect condition permanently," says the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
