On Saturday October 8 the second day of "V Contest Amateur Theatre John Bath", again organized by the Department of Culture Cotillas Towers in collaboration with the local theater group "Tejuba" was held.

It was the turn of the group "The Barracks" in Madrid, which represented in the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" "Monsieur Ibrahim".

A dramatic comedy that is a hymn to friendship, coexistence, understanding and peace, with a story set in Paris during the 60s of the twentieth century.

The play tells the life of Mr. Ibrahim, a Sufi Mohammedan, widowed and childless, who runs a grocery trade and establishes a parent-child relationship with a young Jewish customer who comes to your store.

"As usual in this event the Casa de la Cultura recorded a grand entrance and the audience ended up very happy with the performance, responding with a standing ovation to the performance," explains the director of "Tejuba" Joaquín Cantero.

This event will be held in the municipal precinct Saturday of October, all within 21 hours and with an input of 3 euros.

The next meetings will be on October 15 with the play "Presas" Company "Carafur and La Baranda" of Elche, and on October 22 with "Toxic" of "Sako Creations" (Madrid).

The fire opened last October 1 the "Teatro Coliseo" group of Callosa de Segura, who staged "Three dads to Totó".

Laughter and more laughter could be heard from a patio that recorded a grand entrance and applauded wildly to the amateur actors, who represented this comedy of tangles -clear example of French- vaudeville whose plot of ridiculous situations, misunderstandings, pranks, hoaxes and jealousy was the delight of the audience.

More than 1,500 euros in prize

In addition, out of competition and as fifth representing actors own "Tejuba" will take the stage on Saturday November 5 to represent "The jealous old", as part of the gala awards event to be held also in the House of Culture.

"These awards will amount to nearly 2,000 euros," explains the mayor of Culture, Pedro Cabrera.

And it is that the stated prizes are: 1,000 euros for the winning 200 euros to 200 euros Best Actor and for Best Actress.

Moreover, they all receive a trophy as well as the best actor and supporting actress and best director categories whose winners will go 100 euros respectively.

The organization also contribute 350 euros for each participant group selected in respect of expenses.
