- The Department of Physical Activity and Sports has already trained 40 sports monitors in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation and semi-automatic defibrillator (DESA) management.
This figure was reached after the celebration last weekend of the fourth course in the municipality on this specialty, which was given again by the members of the local Civil Protection body at its headquarters in Ecuador street.
"This was the fourth course that we conducted, after those given to the City's own staff and sports monitors of associations and schools in the municipality," said the councilor of the area, Ginés Pérez, who recalls that "upon completion of the training students receive their corresponding official certificate".
Eight defibrillators in the village
The municipality already has 8 semi-automatic external defibrillators (DESA) for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, after the four recently supplied by the Federation of Soccer of the Region of Murcia (FFRM).
These four new units are located in the soccer field "Onofre Fernández Verdú", in the soccer field 7 (next to the House of Culture), in the pavilion of the Municipal Sports Center and in the municipal pavilion "Mireia Belmonte".
"Two more are installed in the Municipal Sports Center and the sports center 'Grupo Las Torres', and two others in possession of the local Civil Protection body, which transfer them to all acts organized in the locality," says Pérez.
