The Council of Social Services of Las Torres de Cotillas has implemented actions aimed at prevention, monitoring and control of school absenteeism and reduction of school dropout.
"This initiative is aimed at a total of more than 900 students from all secondary schools in the municipality and is funded by the Ministry of Education and Universities and the European Social Fund," said the councilor of the area, María Dolores Sánchez .
The project, entitled 'Educating in Responsibility is Preventing Absenteeism', began in March and is carried out through talks by a professional expert in the field.
The participating centers are the institutes 'Salvador Sandoval' and 'La Florida', the vocational training center 'La Salceda' and the 'Monteazahar' and 'Divino Maestro' schools.
"It will also provide training to parents through Family Schools," notes the mayor.
