The SEF director general visits the young Torreños who are trained in cleaning open spaces and industrial installations (12/09/2017)

The Director General of the Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government, Alejandro Zamora, visited today Tuesday September 12 the course of the 'Joint Program of Employment Training 2017' on cleanliness of open spaces and industrial facilities that is developed in Las Torres of Cotillas.

A proposal that takes place in the Center of Local Development of La Media Legua and in which 15 young people towers younger than 30 years participate.

These are beneficiaries of the National System of Youth Guarantee and during the next nine months will be instructed in these activities and will have employment and salary.

Zamora has been accompanied in his visit by the mayor Torreño, Domingo Coronado, and the councilman of Employment, Angel González.

For this course, which started last week, the City Council has received from the SEF a grant of 123,000 euros.

"This aid is intended for the hiring of a teacher of the specialty and a manager / administrative monitor, as well as the subsequent recruitment of the 15 working students," says the councilman.

Two phases

The students will participate in a first stage of three months where they will receive adequate training to the certificate of professionalism corresponding to the specialty.

"In addition, they will have the availability of applying for a scholarship," says González.

Subsequently will take place a second stage of 6 months in which the students will be hired in training by the City.

In this phase the work will mainly consist of manual and mechanical sweeping, using sweeper carts and sweepers up to 3,500 kilos.

"This program seeks both the qualification of its participants and the improvement of municipal and industrial public roads whose maintenance depends on the City Council," explains the mayor.

"The most relevant occupations with this training are the garbage dump, sweeper, maintenance worker in sewage or street cleaning and related, and pawn collecting waste," says the mayor.
