The City of Las Torres de Cotillas will undertake at the school 'Vista Alegre' of the municipality improvements in its electrical installation, which is older than fifteen years and is in need of these tasks.
"From its construction to the present, the lighting and power needs in the areas of the educational center have doubled, given the improvements in lighting and technological resources, such as computers in the classroom plumier, digital whiteboards in all classes, photocopiers, printers ... ", explains the mayor Isabel María Zapata.
The electrical installation of the school 'Vista Alegre' is formed by two independent electrical circuits: one for feeding to the installations of lighting of classrooms, toilets offices and corridors;
and another for the installations of motive power (bases of plug), distributed throughout each one of these zones.
At present, the existing protections in the control panel and protection of the electrical system make them jump when they are regulated at an amperage lower than the real demand of the school.
"With these works will be resolved to power cuts and will achieve a proper operation of the center," says the mayor.
New exit
"We are going to make a new outlet for motive power, with the placement of a new control panel for both differential and magnetothermic protection, the distribution by all the classrooms of the new line, with 10 mm2 copper conductors free of halogens and fireproof, according to the guidelines set by the regulations, "says the Councilor for Education Pedro Cabrera.
The cost of this improvement in the electrical installation, which will begin shortly, amounts to 7,500 euros, an amount that will be assumed by the Torreño City Council when supposing maintenance and conservation works.
