Campos lays the first stone of Integral Security Center Towers Cotillas (15/02/2011)

The Minister of Justice and Public Safety says the new units will cover current and future needs of local people

The Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Manuel Campos, with the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, placed this morning the first stone of the Comprehensive Building Safety Center, which will integrate the headquarters of the Local Police and Civil Protection and construction of which will invest 1.3 million euros, with a contribution of 600,000 euros from the regional government.

Campos said that installations of this new building will be completed next year, were "necessary because the current headquarters of the local police, which has 39 agents, was insufficient to accommodate the public service" and said it would be "an infrastructure very important to ensure the safety and welfare of citizens. "

The counselor said that the new units "are designed to cover not only the current needs of over 21,000 villagers, but also future demands Torreño safety."

Also, the Minister of Justice and Public Safety noted that the strategic location of Comprehensive Security Center in the city center "will facilitate the performance and operation of the Local Police and Civil Defence volunteers, and that is located in an area easily accessible and well connected to the main roads of the town.

Comprehensive Security Center will be built on a plot of 2,316 meters square, located on the street Oltra Molto, and distributed in two floors above ground and a basement.

The building will have a floor space of 822 square feet, plus parking for rapid intervention vehicles, a warehouse and an area of outdoor exercise.

In the basement will be located cells, costumes, shooting range, gym, warehouse and garage, among other facilities.

The ground floor will host the crowded room and interrogation, offices and toilets for men and women, while the first floor will house the crisis room, armorer, offices, locker rooms, training room and bedroom, kitchen and living room for Civil Protection .

Furthermore, the structure of the building has been calculated that in the future to accommodate an additional floor in anticipation of that extending the building to meet the needs of the municipality.
