Another year (and this is the fifth) the "Cotijazz" Festival with a weekend in Las Torres de Cotillas in which to enjoy a selection of the best jazz performances.
This musical project, organized by the Department of Culture and Torrena "CLAJ Cultural Association" will be held over three days at different venues of the municipality and, except for one, all scheduled performances will feature free admission.
The "Cotijazz 2014" will begin tomorrow, Friday, May 9 with a performance at the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Torrena of "Lolo García Quartet" (20 hours), on a day that will also feature a concert at the "Michigan Mugs ".
Will double session and will be charged to the "Zebojazz Quartet" and "Ultrasonic Jazz Quartet" from 22:30 pm.
Weekend full
On Saturday May 10 will begin at 12 am in the "Hotel Los Romeros" lindy workshop with pop (swing dance) to be given by the association "Cat's Corner".
Following this very fast dancing, the same venue will host from 13 hours the "Refugio's Swing Party" with "Brandy Swing".
In the afternoon the "Michigan Mugs" will be the protagonist of this jazz festival with a performance of "Patxi Valverde Quartet" (17 hours), while at night the activity will move to "Amordiscos Eclectic Bar" concert of "LCD Funk Collective" (23 hours).
The last day of the event will be on Sunday May 11, which will have two appointments.
Morning "Pablo Martinez Flamenco Jazz Band" will offer a great performance at the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Torrena (13 hours), which will show an entry of 5 euros.
And in the evening the "Paco Soler Quintet" ending "Cotijazz 2014" in the "Michigan Mugs" with a tribute to JJ Johnson (17 hours), which will also have a jam session.
