Cotillas Towers will be the epicenter of the regional cycling on Thursday August 28, a day in which takes place in the town for the first time a regional championship of this sport, this time in senior and Masters categories.

A great event to be held on the occasion of the festivity and 2014 the municipality was officially unveiled on Tuesday morning August 26 in a ceremony chaired by the Councillor for Sports Cotillas Towers, Ginés Pérez Iniesta and President of the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia, José López Tortosa, in the Plenary Hall of the City Torreño.

"This event will serve as preparation for the Championships of Spain of these categories, to be held in the coming Mazarrón between 4 and 7 September," said López Tortosa, which stands at nearly 200 cyclists participating in the test.

"The competition will be held on a circuit around our town in which riders must complete five laps to achieve the proposed 104 kilometers," said Pérez Iniesta, who pointed out that this quote to the long list of activities adds Sports Events in these proposals.

The actual start will be at 17:30 pm and the race will pay tribute to one of the most prominent figures of local cycling, which has become the "I Candido Memorial Rivers".

"It is the first to be held in Las Torres de Cotillas a regional championship cycling" stressed the mayor Torreño Sports, which said "the first local rider to cross the finish line will receive its trophy".
