The "I Charity Tournament Handball" Cotillas Towers collects 1,500 euros against childhood cancer (28/12/2014)

The "I Charity Tournament Childhood Cancer" Cotillas Towers was held in the afternoon on Saturday December 27 at the Pavilion of the sports center of the town organized by the "Club Handball Cotillas" and managed to raise around 1,500 euros to be allocated to the "Association of Families of Children with Cancer of the Region of Murcia" (AFACMUR).

"Our goal was to help this organization fighting childhood cancer and we know first hand that plays a wonderful job with the kids," María del Carmen Villegas, president of the club Torreño explains.

To start the day Torreño club teams were presented, after which followed several games with teams coming out pros ASOBAL league and familiar faces of the regional landscape.

"It was a real festival of sport in which all enjoy and put our bit for a good cause," the councilman of Sports Cotillas Towers, Ginés Pérez Iniesta, whose area was collaborating with the appointment.

The event featured a great response from the audience, which filled the stands Torreño pavilion at the price of 3 euros entry and also participated in a raffle to raise more funds donated for the cause products.

"At the end of the tournament paid tribute to a group of children of our people who have overcome this disease," says Pérez Iniesta.

"We want to thank everyone who made it possible for this project succeed, companies, individuals and athletes, who have joined the cause," said Villegas.
