The Department of Education Cotillas Towers and Literary Association "Las Torres" held on the evening of Thursday 22 January a new edition of the traditional "Tribute to the Master".

This took place at the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" local and attended Torreño mayor, Domingo Coronado, and Councillor for Education, Alfonso Sandoval, as well as a large audience.

"This annual homage serves to pay tribute to the teachers who retired at the end of last school year," Sandoval, who notes that this act is starting to be a great tradition in the town said.

This edition has been three recently retired teachers in the 2013-14 campaign received their tribute: Incarnation Matencio Hernández (school "San José"), Francisco Sandoval Sarabia (school "Vista Alegre") and Isabel Jail Jara (school "Valentin Good Day ").

"Usually we celebrate in November, coinciding with the 'Teacher Day, but this year we will perform on the occasion of the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, patron of students," said the mayor.
