Sunday May 3 the La Cruz de Las Torres de Cotillas celebrated a Mass in honor of the head of the chapel, the Holy Cross, on the occasion of the celebration of his saint.
As is tradition and taking advantage of the good weather of the day, the Plaza de la Cruz hosted the Eucharist that was officiated by the head pastor of the parish church of Our Lady of Salceda, Ismael Sanchez, who was supported by the young Jeronimo Hernandez, recently ordained deacon and well liked in the town where it is known as "Jeromín".
Previously, parishioners flocked to enjoy this tradition-held three prayer beads in honor of the image.
After the celebration of mass, attendees could enjoy a free hot chocolate with churros which took the opportunity to have a great time of conviviality.
"This is a tradition that every year is consolidated, in which our neighbors of the Cross and other corners of Las Torres de Cotillas show their love and fervor to the image of the Holy Cross," said Councilman Torreño neighborhoods and districts, Antonio Fernández.
