Once again the "Columbares" association launched after the summer training workshops at the Civic Center Barrio del Carmen in Las Torres de Cotillas.

In collaboration with the Department of Social Services, this free initiative seeks to encourage and stimulate social development of the residents of this neighborhood.

In this context, Thursday September 17, the area councilor, María Dolores Sánchez, held a meeting with the director of "Columbares" Rosa Cano, attended by the director of the Center for Social Services Torreño Agueda Sanchez, and project manager of that entity, Conci Rodriguez.

Activities will begin on Monday 21 September and will have three proposals: strengthening education and leisure for children under 12 (Monday to Thursday from 15.30 to 17 hours), where various issues such as respect for others work, the values, norms, healthy leisure, school assignments are made, etc .;

employment, for young people and adolescents, to be conducted in the IES "Florida";

and other activities for women, trained in maternal and child health, group work for the empowerment of women, and Spanish for immigrants.

"All these activities are done to respond to the needs identified in this neighborhood," says Sanchez, who explains that planning and coordination is done from his department.
