The VI Festival "Villa de las Torres" drew hundreds of spectators (07/09/2008)

Orchestral music sounded last night, Saturday, September 6, in Las Torres de Cotillas occasion of the VI Festival de Bandas de Música "Villa de las Torres" held from 21:30 pm in the Esplanade Ángel González.

A band contest this year completed its sixth edition with the notable presence of the musical group "Friends of Music of Paretón of Totana," directed by Fernando Molina, the "Band of San Javier", led by Julian Andreo and Finally, the "Band of Cotillas Towers", who played under the baton of its director Susana Garcia.

Each of the groups performed their own musical repertoire over the course of the contest.

Thus, the "Friends of Music of Paretón" with their instruments sounded the themes "The grace of God" by Ramon Roig, "Victory" by J.

De Haan and "Algona Overture" by J.

Van Der Roost.

Then, the "Band of San Javier" hit the numbers "Santa Cruz" by R.

Mateos, "Magnificent 7" by E.

Bernstein, "Stargazer Overture" by S.

Feldstein and "In a Persian Market" by A.

Ketelbey.

Closing host

The "band Cotillas Towers" was, as host, in charge of closing this contest of orchestral music with the songs "Evocation" by E.

Cebrián, "Festive Overture" by André Waignein and the series "Reflections of Thistime" Ted Huggens with the pieces "The exciting new armony band", "blue air" and "Fugue a la mode."

Moreover, after giving gifts to all the participating bands, sang the "Song of Murcia" as final concert before more than four hundred spectators.
