The City Torreño acquires art shredder for garden waste (07/10/2008)

The City of Towers Cotillas-through the Department of Environment, has just bought a shredder machine that will end with the usual problems of disposal of debris resulting from pruning of green cleaning or municipal solar .

So far, this type of waste were being eliminated by burning, a practice disrespectful to the environment and contributing to increased air pollution.

Thus, through the acquisition of this new machine that has paid in full the said Department with 52,000 euros, is a firm commitment to sustainable development of the municipality Torreño.

It should also be noted that Cotillas Towers earlier this year joined the project "Local Agenda 21" which, among other things, provides for the grinding of wastes from pruning as one of the main lines of the "Urban Environment Programme "one of the backbones of the Local Agenda 21 of the Consistory Torreño.

More powerful and ecological

This service is provided primarily to local developments, which until now had to take yard trimmings to other municipalities for disposal, and also serve to output pruning of services by the City Council, for example, cleaning pruning solar or green areas.

The new machine shredder of Cotillas Towers has an average yield of 40 m3 / h and a diameter of harbors allowable up to 20 inches which provides a level of responsiveness and efficiency appropriate to the needs of the municipality.

Also, among his most notable technical features, include a rotor blade that combines hammers and capable of reducing 1 to 6 times the volume of branches and plant debris after grinding.

Moreover, this machine has a CO2 reduction system that regulates the process of grinding using the full power of the shredder seems only when necessary, ie when the machine is crushed and not when it is idling.

"This is a shredder last generation that we will meet one of the most important sections of the Urban Environment Program of the Local Agenda 21 and key part of our environmental policy as the removal of garden waste" said the Councillor for Environment Cotillas Towers, Inmaculada Fernández, about this recent acquisition.
