The Department of Social Policy and Public Safety of Cotillas Towers, through its Center for Social Services and in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Immigration and the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration Regional Government has launched a training course in basic computing and Internet for immigrants.
Free of charge, this training activity provided by the local company "Digitalia" consists of 40 hours, from Monday to Friday in the Hall of Open Access (ALA) of the Municipal Library located in the Casa de la Cultura "Pedro Serna" Torreño municipality, with two groups of 13 persons each: one attends class from 17 to 18.30 hours and the second from 18.30 to 20 hours.
Thus, participants are on one side knowing the most basic computer programs, in order to learn to use the computer in your daily life as a working tool and training and information-, and educate themselves to take advantage of other resources that can provide network of networks.
In search of integration
This computer course, which began on Monday 11 November, is another of the actions implemented by the Department of Social Policy Torrena to provide ways for immigrants to cope with greater ease in our country.
In fact, currently underway two Spanish courses for immigrants with problems understanding the Spanish language, taught in the town from Monday and Thursday (20 to 22'30 hours) and Tuesday and Thursday (10 to 12 hours, this women-only group).
Are about 40 students are benefiting from this initiative, which repeats in the town and each time has more acceptance among immigrants.
