The "Owl Creative" Torreño presented awards to its eighth edition (17/03/2009)

The art exhibition "Creative Owl" Las Torres de Cotillas, organized for the eighth time by the Department of Youth Torrena and the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, delivered on the evening of Friday 13 March with their awards at Casa de la Cultura "Pedro Serna" in a ceremony attended by, among other authorities, the local Youth Councillor, Pedro Cabrera.

The young participants were handed a total of 3,100 euros in prize recognizing the best works contestants, divided into six forms: painting, photography, short stories, poetry, crafts / pottery and lineup of Carnival 2010.

So, Laura Martínez Marble took the first prize for painting children (under 15) with his book "Lone Tree" Morell Serrano Santiago did likewise in the paint youth (16 to 25 years) with "New York 1900 "and David Vicente Vicente won in the adult category with his creation" No Line On The Horizon. "

In the section of stories (for authors between 13 and 30) Ana Robles Egea won first prize with his piece entitled "The Night That I dared to begin."

The best lineup of carnival (for writers aged 13 to 35 years) was signed by Antonio Rosauro Sarabia, while the best poetry was Alberto Caride Brocal with his "life."

Marta Sánchez Ruiz, with his creation "Mama and Me", was the winner in the category of child craft (up to 15 years), while in the juvenile section (between 16 and 25) the winner was Marina Peñalosa Montero with his " Dreams. "

Finally, in adults the victory went to Ignacio Torres González and his creation "Yemen."

In the photography category prize in the youth section (between 15 and 25 years) went to María Dolores Ruiz García ("Behind the glass") and adults for Miguel Ángel López Muñoz ("Soledad").

The goal, year after year of this multidisciplinary competition aimed at young artists born or living in our region, according to the ages specified for each trend (ranging from 13 to 45 years), is to promote artistic creativity Murcia youth.

It is recalled that the works awarded in this competition of young artists from Murcia, original and unpublished, have become the property of the Consistory Torreño and are showing the public in an exhibition that is open to visitors since the 13th of March to next day 30 (Monday to Friday from 17:30 to 20:30 hours) at the Center for Young Artists in the locality.
