On Wednesday morning 25 the Municipal Ecoparque Cotillas Towers has received a special visit.
And, in the school workshop "Management of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), 4 students of Primary Education schools in the municipality of Torreño visited these facilities to learn more about its operation.
Thus, for every small school in the morning Torreño centers "San José", "Divine Master", "The Park", "Valentin Buendía", "Vista Alegre", "Monte Azahar", "Cervantes" and "Susarte" received training on the role of the EcoPark in the town, a facility designed for proper storage of wastes, either by volume or hazardous nature, encroach on the municipal waste management in case of putting it into containers for waste collection solid.
This training was conducted in the classroom environmental education available to this Ecoparque Municipal, which normally are organized presentations and courses dedicated to promoting the use of these facilities.
The waste cycle
There, the students could learn, among other things, that the EcoPark can collect e-waste, small and large appliances, batteries, oils, motor oils, clothing and footwear, paper and cardboard, trimmings, tubes fluorescent X-rays, etc..
Similarly, they explained that all the waste is temporarily stored and then are transported to sorting plants, where they are separated, recovered and recycled materials to use back then.
