The yeclano tennis champion Angel Alonso is on Saturday 25th April "National Open Tennis V Trofeo Ayuntamiento de Las Torres de Cotillas", in which eventually prevailed in a tight match to Ivan Esquerdo Alicante 6-2, 5 - 7 and 7-6 (7-2).
With this victory, the Murcia-seeded 5 - pocketed $ 1,000, while repeating Esquerdo-runner-entered 500.
After the game, the mayor Torreño, Domingo Coronado, and the local Councillor for Sports, Juan Carlos Martinez, surrendered their trophies to the two players.
Held at the Municipal Sports Torreño tracks involving more than 60 of the best players from different parts of the national territory, in their semifinal Alonso got rid of Jorge Jimenez, second seed in the championship, while Esquerdo did the same Santiago Penadés (8).
Prize Money
This tournament, organized by the local Sports Council in collaboration with the Association of Tennis Matchball "Vip Tennis and also distributed to 250 euros and 125 euros semifinalists for the quarter-finalists.
