Starting tomorrow, Thursday 25 February, the Department of Public Health Cotillas Towers give green light to his usual campaign to prevent breast cancer.
For this year, authorities checked Torrena expect some 1,500 women between 50 and 69 years from tomorrow, 25 February until 30 March.
During that time, a mobile unit within the Esplanade Master Angel Palazón, will check all the women cited and those who have requested it.
With this campaign, the program submitted once every two years to all women referred to a comprehensive medical examination including the completion of a mammogram to determine their state of health in order to act in time in case of illness.
This is intended, first to promote early detection by decreasing the mortality of the disease and secondly, improving the quality of life of women who suffer.
This is an initiative launched in 1996 by the Directorate General of Public Health of the Region of Murcia in cooperation with the City of Las Torres de Cotillas and the Spanish Association Against Cancer Prevention Program in Breast Cancer
