Interview with Juan Francisco Jimenez, a preacher of the Semana Santa 2010 de las Torres de Cotillas (19/03/2010)

I think that you are not Torreño of birth, how long have you lived in Las Torres de Cotillas?

Since I was 10 years, and now I turned 44, so I've been in this town 34 years.

What do you like most about Las Torres de Cotillas?

Without doubt his people, his kindness and how to welcome visitors.

What topics will be addressed in their cry?

Basically my personal experience of Easter Cotillas Towers and the effort and commitment they have put the guilds of the town to do some parties even better and more beautiful, more heartfelt.

Within your personal experience, which highlight of Holy Week Torrena?

When I arrived in Las Torres de Cotillas Easter was more informal, less cared for and there was so much equity in the Brotherhoods.

Now however, the brotherhoods have grown tremendously, thanks mostly to their own efforts and have achieved a truly beautiful processions.

Personally, I especially like the Good Friday that fills the streets of Las Torres Cotillas a sense of silence that pervades the entire city and the Easter Sunday, perhaps by contrast, because it is a much more joyous procession and colorful.

Also said he would refer to the efforts they have made the brotherhoods Torrena to get on and do some holiday ever felt better and What would you highlight of this tour?

Fraternities in Las Torres de Cotillas started with virtually nothing.

Only images taken out in procession and there were no means for too many luxuries and everything was very basic.

With the passage of time have been the same fraternities that have been done with the banners and pictures, thrones and this is something they have funded themselves, with some help from the City Council and a donation, but basically all the money this is what they have paid their own guilds.

Some people pay for things out of pocket and the rest is financed by contributions from the brothers.

Think that a procession is very expensive, but frankly could not give specific figures on how much can cost to take a street, but he finished the procession of one year and we are thinking about the next and this of course, involves much effort and lot of money.

What would you say to those who have not visited Easter Cotillas Towers to come over to meet her?

Well, we have a procession with its own that set us apart from other municipalities.

Processions are very nice and well ... I speak especially of the Virgen de los Dolores, which is that of my guild, which is a beautiful image.
