School campaign ends collective recycling Cotillas Towers (20/03/2010)

The Department of Environment, Agriculture and Water Towers Cotillas concluded on Wednesday March 17 with a visit to Ecoparque City "Campaign Recycle Collective", an initiative that targets students in 4th of primary education consisted of a workshop with three formal lectures and the aforementioned visit to the municipal facilities for waste collection.

With this campaign held in different schools in the municipality was intended that students know the concept of "waste" and became aware of how important it can be recycling.

The municipal proposal also aimed to make pupils aware of how necessary it is to practice recycling at the family home and the school itself and in the street and even in moments of leisure.

Thus, the proposal also unveiled the Comprehensive Management System for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and recycling process itself.

In schools Torreño

The workshops began on Feb. 14 and was held at the following schools: the "Cervantes", the "Divine Master," the school "The Park", the "Monte Azahar", the "San José", the "Susarte" The "Vista Alegre", and "Valentine Buendía."

In this sense, the Councillor for the Environment, Agriculture and Water, Inmaculada Fernández, was keen to stress that "recycling more than a routine, be taught as a way of life because there is always the opportunity to recycle anywhere ".

"That's what I want to convey to students from schools in Las Torres de Cotillas: do not forget recycling, they always put into practice," said the mayor Torrena.
